Soul Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2017 with the aim of creating awareness on mental health, providing support and assistance to mental health patients and their care givers. We work to bring the mind, body and soul together as a whole human being.
We are indebted to you for all the support you have rendered to us in the past calendar activities and in the same vein are reaching out to request for your sponsorship either in kind or in cash (with a target of getting 46,600,000 million Uganda Shillings) towards this years’ Christmas Celebrations in Butabika Hospital. The celebrations will be under the theme “Smiles for miles” that will highlight the value of mental health, allowing participants to familiarize themselves with the causes, effects and therapies before and after illness. The celebrations will bring the spirit of Christmas to the hospital commencing with a cookout for all patients & staff appreciation party on Friday 09th December and a grand finale of a children’s party & cake cutting on 17th, December 2022.
During this season we will also highlight the importance of food and nutrition on our mental wellness and the unquantifiable healing that comes from communing together during a meal, encouraging more connection and dialogue amongst people, since the biggest hindrance to seeking help and aggravator of mental illness is the gap in communication, both verbal and non-verbal by the sufferer and those around them.
